How to open an account:

Current members:

13- to 14-year-olds:

  • Members must open an account in person at a branch and present a valid government-issued ID (e.g., state ID card, passport, or learner’s permit).
  • A parent or guardian must be the joint account holder and must be present with the child for the account to be opened.

15- to 22-year-olds:

  • Members can open an account through online banking or at a branch.
  • A valid government-issued ID must be presented and available when the account is opened (e.g., driver’s license, state ID card, or passport).

  • Potential members must join and open an account—both of which can be done at a branch and require a valid government-issued ID (e.g., state ID card, passport, or learner’s permit).
  • 13- to 14-year-olds must have a parent or guardian as their joint account holder, who must be present with the child for the account to be opened.

18- to 22-year-olds:

  • Potential members must join and open an account—both of which can be done at a branch or online.
  • A valid government-issued ID is needed to open the account (e.g., driver’s license, passport, or state ID card).
