Change Jar
Looking for a way to jump-start your savings? Sign up for Change Jar! The more you use your debit card for purchases, the more you can save.
How it works
- Change Jar rounds up the amount of any purchases you make with your debit card, both signature and PIN transactions, to the nearest whole dollar.
- At the end of each business day, Change Jar adds the "change" from each of your purchases and transfers that amount to your savings account.
- In online banking, mobile banking and on your statements, your debit card purchases appear as usual with their exact amounts. You will see a Change Jar transfer from your checking to your savings account for the total amount of "change" you saved each day.

- VACU checking account
- Debit card
- VACU savings account
If you already have all three, enroll now and start saving right away. Just log in to online banking and click on the Member Services tab, call Member Services or visit a branch to sign up.
