To notify you more quickly if suspicious activity is detected on your VACU credit card, your credit union has alert notification options. These alerts allow you to easily evaluate the validity of activity on your credit card to prevent additional fraud.

Enroll to receive and respond to credit card security alerts by text message. Just log in to Online Banking, select your credit card account. Then go to “Get More Credit Card Information” to get more details and enroll under the "Communications" tab.

Yes, if your Virginia Credit Union credit card is lost or stolen and a replacement is issued, you will need to re-register the new account number to continue receiving text messages.
Virginia Credit Union does not charge any fees for Credit Card Security Text Alerts, however standard text message and data rates assessed by your mobile carrier may apply. Please check with your mobile carrier to ensure that you have 'text messaging' on your mobile phone plan, and that you are aware of the costs your carrier will charge you if you utilize it.
