Enroll, login, and app

How do I enroll in online banking?

You can enroll in online banking here. You’ll need the following information to enroll:

  • Name
  • Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Zip Code

After I enroll in online banking, how do I log in?

You can log in here or by clicking the ‘ONLINE BANKING’ button on vacu.org, entering your user ID, and following the on-screen prompts.

Is my user ID and password the same for the website and mobile app?

Yes, you’ll use the same user ID and password when logging in to the website and mobile app.

How do I download the VACU mobile app?

To download the Virginia Credit Union mobile app on your Apple or Android devices, go to:

What if I have personal and business accounts?

You’ll log in to the same website and mobile app for both your personal and business accounts, with a distinct user ID and password for each.

What if I forgot my user ID?

You can recover your user ID here, or you can go to vacu.org, select the ONLINE BANKING button > Login Help > Personal: Unlock User or Recover ID.

What if I forgot my password?

You can reset your password by using the 'Forgot your password?' link on the password screen.

  • Step 1: On vacu.org, select the 'ONLINE BANKING' button.
  • Step 2: Enter your user ID and select 'Continue.'
  • Step 3: On the password screen, select 'Forgot your password?' and follow the on-screen prompts to recover your password.

What do I do if I get locked out of my account?

For the security of your account, the online banking system will automatically lock you out after five consecutive unsuccessful login attempts. If you need to unlock your account, you can do so here.

Transfers, payments and deposits

How do I make a credit card payment?

You can make credit card payments by selecting Transfers & Payments from the menu and then Loan Payments, or by selecting Manage Cards from the menu.

How do I sign up for Bill Pay if I haven’t used it before?

Once you’re enrolled and logged in to online banking, select Bill Pay from the menu to enroll in Bill Pay.

Can I make member-to-member transfers?

No, member-to-member transfers are not currently available in online banking.

How do I deposit checks from my phone?

With VACU’s mobile deposit, you can electronically deposit checks with an iPhone or Android device that has a camera through our VACU mobile app. Simply snap photos of the front and back of your endorsed check to make deposits into your VACU account. Mobile deposit is not available with first and second generation iPads.

Security

How do I know the log in process is safe?

We provide two-factor authentication during the log in process, providing you with a temporary Secure Access Code via email, call, or text to ensure that your information stays safe. Never share a Secure Access Code with anyone. Virginia Credit Union will never ask you for this code.

Are there additional security measures in place?

VACU uses the latest Internet security technology and techniques to help ensure that your information is as secure as possible. These techniques include user authentication, data encryption, and the use of secure servers. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol is used to encrypt sensitive data prior to transmission over the Internet.

eStatements and eNotices

What is an eNotice and an eStatement?

An eNotice is an electronic copy of a paper notice available within online banking.

An eStatement is an electronic copy of an account statement available within online banking.

Financial planning and budgeting

Can I download information from online banking to Quicken® or Quickbooks®?

Yes! From the home screen, select an account, then select the ‘Export’ button, and choose your file download type.

Can I check my credit score in the new online banking?

Yes, you can use our FICO Credit Score tool to check your credit score at any time.
