Car Loan Refinance

Whether you’re looking to lower your payments or shorten the length of your loan to save on interest, Virginia Credit Union has great rates and options for refinancing your car loan from another lender. We're here to help you take your money further. Let's get started!

Getting started is easy

After you've applied for a car loan with us, it's as simple as following these 4 easy steps.

Step 1

Print and fill out the Vehicle Refinance Form.

Step 2

Print and fill out a Lien Form.

  • For cars titled in the state of Virginia, print and fill out the VA DMV Lien Form. You only need to complete sections 1, 2 & 6. Please have all vehicle owners sign the Lien Form where appropriate.
  • For cars titled outside the state of Virginia, give us a call and we would be happy to send you the appropriate Lien Form. Contact Member Services at 804-323-6800 or 800-285-6609 to request the appropriate form

Step 3

Make a copy of your current vehicle registration.

Step 4

Finally, we’ll need for you to send us these three key pieces of information complete with your application ID marked on the top right corner of each document. You can do that one of the following ways:

Once we receive your forms and registration, a lending processor will contact your lender for payoff information and then get back in touch with you to discuss closing terms and final documentation.

Contact Member Services at 804-323-6800 or 800-285-6609 if you have any questions along the way. We're here to help!
