Effective January 1, 2023
The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) requires businesses to provide notice of their data collection and sharing practices in regard to California residents. This CCPA Disclosure applies to California residents only and is an extension of Virginia Federal Credit Union's (“VACU” or “Virginia Credit Union”) existing privacy policies and notices.
This Disclosure does not apply to certain personal information that may be subject to other state or federal privacy laws. Information that we collect about individuals who seek, apply for, or obtain our financial products and services for personal, family, or household purposes would be subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and is referred to in our Privacy Notice.
Effective January 1, 2023, the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) amends and expands existing provisions of the CCPA and creates additional provisions.
Sale of Personal Information
VACU has not sold or shared your personal or sensitive personal information in the last 12 months. Since VACU does not sell your personal information, we do not offer an opt-out under the CCPA.

How to Make Requests
In some instances, we may not be able to honor your request. For example, we will not honor a request if we cannot verify your identity or if you do not have the authority to make a request on behalf of another individual. Additionally, we may not honor your request where an exception applies, such as the information we maintain about you not being subject to CPRA’s rights.
