Virginia Credit Union Wins Prestigious Diamond Award for Financial Education Summit

Virginia Credit Union has won the prestigious Diamond Award for its innovative Financial Success for Women Summit. Sponsored by the national trade association America’s Credit Unions and its Marketing, PR and Development Council, the Diamond Awards recognize programs and marketing campaigns within the credit union industry that exemplify creative excellence and demonstrate exceptional impact.

“VACU champions financial education and financial wellness as an integral component of our mission and as a strategic focus for both our member and community engagement,” said VACU’s Cherry Dale, Senior Vice President of Financial Education. “The Summit addressed the growing need to provide women with the tools, knowledge, and confidence necessary to achieve financial success. The personal connection and engagement made possible by an in-person event made for a unique and rewarding experience for our participants.”

Building on the success of the 2024 Summit, VACU and its Roanoke, Virginia-based Member One division will host two Summits this year — April 15 in Richmond and September 22 in Roanoke.

The Marketing, PR & Development Council of America’s Credit Unions also announced the list of all winners for its annual Diamond Awards. Credit unions, advertising agencies, and associations submitted 1,400 submissions for the prestigious awards. In all, 180 organizations from 42 states were selected as winners.
