VACU Holds 95th Annual Meeting; Members Elect Three Individuals to Board of Directors

Virginia Credit Union held its 95th Annual Meeting on March 27, during which members re-elected the following individuals to the credit union’s volunteer Board of Directors: L. Robert Bolling, Patricia A. Green and Paul D. Thompson.

Each director was re-elected to a four-year term on the Board, which sets policy and strategic objectives for the $5.3 billion not-for-profit, member-owned credit union. Reports on the credit union’s 2023 accomplishments, financial health and audit were provided during the Annual Meeting and detailed in the 2023 Annual Report.

About the elected directors:

  • L. Robert Bolling was first elected to the Board four years ago and currently serves as the Board’s Secretary/Treasurer. He is the CEO of ChildSavers, a nonprofit focusing on children’s mental health.
  • Patricia A. Green has served on the Board for four years and is Senior Director of Development for the YMCA of Greater Richmond.
  • Paul D. Thompson is an eight-year member of the Board and is Vice President/Mid-Atlantic Distribution for MoboTrex, Inc., a firm specializing in the distribution of traffic control devices and transportation control systems.

Officers of the Board for the coming year are:

  • Kenneth E. Ampy, Chair. Ampy is the co-founder and CEO of Richmond-based Astyra Corporation, a staffing and consulting firm.
  • Melina Davis, Vice Chair. Davis is the executive vice president and CEO of the Medical Society of Virginia, a professional association for the Commonwealth’s physicians.
  • L. Robert Bolling, Secretary/Treasurer.
  • Robert B. Jones, Jr., Member-At-Large. Jones is the President & CEO of the Alliance Group, a public relations and government relations firm based in Richmond.
