VACU Among 10 Large Employers on Top Workplaces List

Virginia Credit Union is listed along with 10 other large employers on the Richmond Times-Dispatch list of “Top Workplaces.”

In a list published March 5, the Times-Dispatch named 65 companies as the best workplaces in the Richmond region. Virginia Credit Union is listed as one of 10 in the large company category with 400 – 999 employees.

The Times-Dispatch worked with Energage, an employee-research firm, to conduct workplace surveys of area businesses. The survey asked questions of employees about company leadership and management, pay and benefits, training and work-life balance as well as factors like community involvement and the promotion of diversity. Survey results led to the Top Workplaces list.

The list of 65 area businesses also includes mega-sized companies with more than 1,000 employees, mid-size companies (125-399) and small companies (124 or fewer). Other companies in Virginia Credit Union’s group of 10 include Elephant Insurance Services, Patient First and Westminster-Canterbury Richmond.

The top-ranking businesses in each category will be announced by the Times-Dispatch in May.
