VACU Employees Contribute $24,000+ to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Virginia Credit Union has presented $24,386.40 to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the result of year-long employee fundraising and a corporate matching donation.

Throughout 2018, Virginia Credit Union employees raised funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through casual days, an after work bowl-a-thon and other activities. Virginia Credit Union matches the annual employee fundraising total, which together yielded a 2018 contribution of more than $24,000.

In February, Virginia Credit Union will make an additional contribution to CMN based on the number of assists made by the men’s and women’s VCU Rams basketball teams during the 2018-2019 season. Virginia Credit Union will present a check to CMN at the VCU men’s basketball game on Saturday, February 23.

Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital and provides a full range of pediatric services for children. In the last six years, Virginia Credit Union and its employees have contributed more than $150,000 to advance pediatric health services at the Children’s Hospital through research, training, and uncompensated care.
