Overview

Used to link page content to additional content in the footer. Most often used for legal disclaimers.

Use a single footnote to convey a single idea. I.E. If there are multiple legal disclaimers that apply to the same page content, use multiple footnotes
Page footnotes should always start at 1
To remain ADA compliant, footnotes should have a link to return you to where you are on the page. For this reason, If the same footnote applies to multiple similar pieces of page content, only link the footnote in the first instance of that content.
