I finally listened to my co-workers and decided to cut the cord on cable. For months, many friends at the office have insisted that I’ve been, to put it mildly, “out-of-step” for continuing to pay for cable TV. So, I finally responded to the peer pressure.
Everywhere we look nowadays it feels that there are options for the ‘side-hustle’ – the supplemental source of income that helps cushion the monthly budget. Having many choices, coupled with the stress of budgetary restrictions, it can feel overwhelming.
While this time of the year is probably my favorite, it can also be overwhelming especially when you are a ‘giver’ like me. There was a point in time where I felt obligated to try and get everyone something and to cross off everything on my list. However, that started to become stressful mentally and financially!
I bought Amazon Echo with Alexa voice assistance this year and while I don’t tend to ride the wave of new techy gadgets, this one I adopted pretty early on. Purchasing Alexa for our home was a bit of an impulse buy, but for me, it's worth it.
