Is there a fee to receive eStatements and eNotices?

No, eStatements and eNotices are provided free of charge for your convenience.

Do I need special software to view eStatements and eNotices?

You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view your eStatements and eNotices. If you do not have this program you can download it for free at adobe.com.

Are eStatements and eNotices emailed to me?

No, to protect your information, we do not email the notice to you. We will send you an email to notify you that a new document is ready for you to view within Online Banking.

How long will it take to begin accessing eStatements and eNotices?

Once you enroll, you can begin using the service to view up to 24 months of archived statements. If you are a new member you will receive an eStatement with the next statement cycle. eNotices will be presented as they become available.

Can my email notification be sent to two different email addresses?

Currently our system supports only one email address per account. However, you can access eStatements and eNotices from any computer with secure Internet access.

How do I notify Virginia Credit Union of my new email address?

You can provide us with your new email address within Online Banking simply by going to the Member Services tab and clicking the “Change Email” link.

Can I get only eStatements or only eNotices?

No, enrollment for eStatements and eNotices is done together. By enrolling for one service you are automatically enrolled for the other service.

Can I cancel eStatements and eNotices and begin receiving my documents by mail again?

We hope you will enjoy the convenience of eStatements and getting your documents sooner. However you may cancel eStatements and eNotices at any time by submitting the form that is available through the Member Services tab in Online Banking. Please allow 2 business days for your request to be completed.

How is the integrity of my data maintained using Internet access with SSL protocol? 

VACU uses the latest Internet security technology and techniques to help ensure that your statement information is as secure as possible. These techniques include enhanced user authentication, data encryption, and the use of secure servers. Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol is used to encrypt sensitive data prior to transmission over the Internet. We also use multiple step applications to verify supplied data.

How long will my eStatements be available?

We provide up to 24 months of your eStatements.

Will my eStatements look the same as my printed statement?

Your eStatement has the same information as your printed statements. Along with your eStatement, you can access the credit union newsletter or other communications included with your most recent statement.

Can I receive a paper statement as well as an eStatement?

No, once you sign up for eStatements and eNotices, you will receive only eStatements.

Can I receive a printed statement if my computer isn’t working or if I need one for another reason?

Yes, you may contact Member Services to request a printed statement by mail. There is a charge for each statement copy requested.

I have access to other accounts in Online Banking. Can I get eStatements for those accounts too?

You may view eStatements for any accounts on which you are listed as the primary account holder.

Can either owner of a joint account sign up to receive eStatements?

At this time, only the primary owner of an account may access eStatements. This is the individual whose social security number is used on the account.

If I notice an error or have a question about any transaction on my eStatement, whom do I contact?

You may contact Member Services at (804) 323-6800 or (800) 285-6609 with any questions related to your statements.

eNotice FAQs


What is an eNotice?

An eNotice is an electronic copy of a paper mailed notice available within Online Banking.

Are all notices provided as eNotices?

Only certain types of notices, such as tax statements and non-sufficient fund notices, will be available as eNotices and the rest will continue to be delivered via regular USPS mail. Over time we will be adding more notices to our eNotices program.

How long will my eNotices be available?

Most eNotices will be available in Online Banking for up to 30 days. Tax forms will be available for 13 months.
