Program benefits FeedMore
(Richmond, VA – May 28, 2015) — Virginia Credit Union will pitch in to help those in need through a joint effort with the Richmond Flying Squirrels and FeedMore, Central Virginia's hunger-relief leader made up of the Central Virginia Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and the Community Kitchen.
VACU will Strike Out Hunger by contributing funds and raising attention and support for FeedMore by making a donation for every strike out thrown by a Richmond Flying Squirrels pitcher during the 2015 season. This is the program’s second year.
Members and employees of Virginia Credit Union are generous supporters of FeedMore at document shredding events, employee food drives, volunteer work days, and other efforts.
FeedMore's programs provide hunger relief to the region’s most vulnerable populations, particularly children, families and seniors.
A member-owned financial cooperative with more than 230,000 members, Virginia Credit Union provides a variety of affordable banking services, loans, mortgages and financial education resources to its members. Virginia Credit Union is an equal housing opportunity lender and is federally insured by NCUA.
