Program benefits FeedMore

(Richmond, VA, Sept. 7, 2016) – Virginia Credit Union has contributed $5,240 to FeedMore to fulfill its pledge to “Strike Out Hunger.”
The amount is based on the number of strike outs thrown by pitchers of the Richmond Flying Squirrels’ in the season that ended Monday, Sept. 5.
Under the Strike Out Hunger program, VACU pledged funds and raised attention for FeedMore at every home game. FeedMore is Central Virginia's hunger-relief leader made up of the Central Virginia Food Bank, Meals on Wheels and the Community Kitchen.
Members and employees of Virginia Credit Union are generous supporters of FeedMore in other ways as well, by contributing nonperishable food at document shredding events, conducting food drives among employees, and scheduling volunteer work days in the FeedMore distribution warehouse and Community Kitchen.
FeedMore's programs provide hunger relief to the region’s most vulnerable populations, particularly children, families and seniors.
