The Dorothy J. Hall Memorial Scholarship Program was established to help Virginia Credit Union members of any age who are working toward their first undergraduate degree.
Each year Virginia Credit Union awards scholarships for an amount up to $2,500 to 25 students enrolled in an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year.
The application deadline for the 2015 scholarship program has passed.
To be eligible for 2016 scholarships, student applicants must:
be a member of Virginia Credit Union (VACU), not just any credit union in Virginia
- join Virginia Credit Union by September 30, 2015
be the primary member of their own account (not just a joint owner on someone else’s account); the applicant's accounts must be in good standing
- be a rising college freshman, sophomore, junior or senior who will be taking at least 9 credit hours per semester
be pursuing their first degree in an undergraduate or associate's degree program at an accredited college or university
Virginia Credit Union employees, directors, committee members, other volunteers and their families are not eligible. Previous scholarship winners are not eligible.
