Community Involvement

As a financial cooperative owned by its members and committed to their financial success, Virginia Credit Union has made financial education programs for members and the community a main focus.

In addition, Virginia Credit Union provides monetary, in-kind, and volunteer support to various organizations in our communities. The volunteer activities of members and employees help raise the social and economic well being of the communities where members live and work.

Examples of public service activities and groups receiving financial or other support:

  • Financial education programs for students, teachers, other adults, work groups and the community, reaching more than 13,000 people in 2013
